Minimal Style Poster of Muckish Mountain, Derryveagh, Co. Donegal, Eire.
Giclée print on 190gsm archival matte paper. Carefully rolled in acid free tissue paper and presented in sturdy transportable tubes.
A beautiful mountain from any angle, with better views on top. At 666m, Muckish is only the third highest peak in Donegal. However, this flat-topped mountain arguably leaves the biggest impression. Paul Henry chose nearby Errigal as his subject for the iconic Irish Railway poster, but we think he should have ventured further north to tackle the ‘seventh sister’. The mountain was mined for high grade quartz sand which supplied the optical glass industry for years. Now, thankfully, the quarry is closed and this gem of a mountain is here to stay.
This view captures a hill road, all on its own, offering an uninterrupted view towards the plateau. An epic road to wander down - if you can find it.
